MINIMUM Qualifications

  • Successful experience in an educational setting desired working in the specifically applied for field.
  • Minimum age 21.
  • Possess high moral and ethical standards.
  • Possess good communication skills.
  • Demonstrate mature behavior and ability to use sound judgement in working with parents, students, staff, and community.
  • Display dependability and punctuality.
  • Ability to discipline students when necessary, displaying good judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with students.
  • Demonstrate willingness to train in the desired area.

 Performance Responsibilities

  • Bus Driver Substitutes are required to have a good driving record.
  • Bus Driver Substitutes are required to take a pre-employment drug test.
  • Bus Driver Substitutes must attend a mandatory comprehensive school bus drivers’ course.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Terms of Employment

                All substitute positions are on an on-call as needed basis.

                Salary:  Substitute rate for each position will be Step 1 on the negotiated PSE salary schedule.
